Quarterly Update

It's hard to believe we're already half way through 2020. With programs serving survivors in Asia, Uganda, and Austin, our team has walked through the unique challenges of this COVID crisis all over the world since as far back as early January.

Like many of you, the lives of our staff and beneficiaries have been turned upside down in an unprecedented way. It has been a HARD YEAR.

Yet in the midst of all the chaos, uncertainty, and suffering, we have seen incredible resilience. HOPE IS STILL RISING.

Survivors all over the world continue walking towards healing, even in the midst of a global pandemic. And thanks to YOU, we get to walk alongside them to support that journey in real & tangible ways.

Here are just a few of the things our small team has been able to be a part of thus far in 2020:

The last 6 months have been both messy and beautiful, and these numbers only scratch the surface. We could talk for hours about the details and moments within:

  • Moments like moving 4 survivors with very limited options for housing into our new transitional home in Austin, TX,

  • moments like holding hands with survivors in Asia through the ups and downs of very complicated pregnancies in the midst of Covid,

  • moments like adapting to provide vocational training, holistic care, counseling and case management all through Zoom and FaceTime,

  • moments like planning a graduation ceremony for 10 beneficiaries in Uganda,

  • and moments of supporting & advocating for survivors through mental health crises, addiction, and abuse-- all of which have been escalated due to shelter-in-place orders around the world.

We know many of you have faced difficult struggles in the last 6 months, and the amount of suffering all around the world can feel completely overwhelming. But please know that your giving is bringing real freedom, hope, and restoration to survivors around the world RIGHT NOW.

THANK YOU for supporting survivors thus far through this unprecedented year. We can't continue to do it without you.

For Freedom,
