This program is not an emergency placement. If emergency housing is needed we can assist with referrals to local shelters.

Minors should be referred to minor-serving facilities. If the applicant is currently participating in a program for minors and will age out at 18 within the next 4-6 months, you may apply for continuum of care purposes and they may be considered for placement/waitlist given current residents and availability.

We strongly encourage participants to find local resources for detox/rehab and we will stay in touch while those programs are being completed. Applicants must successfully complete 30 days of sobriety with addiction support before an applicant can be considered for the program.

No. There is no mandatory participation in any religious activities as a part of this program. Participants are encouraged to practice their faith and spirituality in whatever manner they choose.

Our founders are motivated by Christian faith and belief in God’s heart for justice and restoration, however, we are inclusive and honoring people of all faiths or no faith in all aspects of our work.

Participants may have their phones. However, they must keep location services turned off while in the home to maintain the confidentiality of the house itself. They are allowed to utilize their car as desired, however, cost of gas and maintenance will be their responsibility. Outside visitors are never allowed in the home.

The program accepts women who are pregnant. Pregnant women will develop birth plans in addition to their individual service plans and will be encouraged to attend labor/delivery, newborn, and other infant care classes.

The program accepts women who are parenting, however, we will determine if we can accept children on a case by case basis and children must be 10 years of age or under. Women must have custody of their child(ren). Participants with a child will also develop parenting plans as part of their individual service plan to address their parental goals, and it is encouraged that part of that will be to attend ongoing parenting education classes. Program staff will be available for parental support as needed.

The parent is solely responsible for the safety and supervision of their child at all times and the child is not considered a client of Red Oak Hope.

Red Oak Hope will pay for rent in a furnished home, utilities, and provide a small monthly stipend for up to 12 months (during the time that each participant is living at the house). Red Oak Hope will pay for a monthly bus pass (if needed) for the first 6 months that each participant is living at the house. It is expected that residents cover all other expenses (medical, food and basic needs, personal items, etc.) on their own but work in concert with their case manager to address all needs and referrals can be provided.
