Red Oak Hope 2024 Impact Report

ree

Dear supporters & friends,

As we look back at 2024, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support and your impact on the survivors we’ve had the privilege to serve. Last year, YOU allowed us to walk alongside 112 survivors and at-risk individuals, connecting them to support, building communities of belonging, and helping them take critical steps on their healing journey.

Some of the services we’ve provided are:

  • 2,578 hours of case management, each hour providing side-by-side support with a client as they work to set goals and achieve their hopes and dreams.

  • 2,448 nights of safe shelter (49% increase from the previous year), with every single night being one that a survivor does not fear for their safety, experience exploitation, or sell their body to survive.

  • 1,290 hours of educational and vocational support, helping clients establish critical life skills and therapeutic resources, empowering them to lead their own healing journey long after their time in our programs.

We hold tenderly the stories and humans connected to these numbers, and celebrate the victories we bore witness to all around the world. THANK YOU for your part in that.

Last year was also a year of significant organizational transition for us. After 12 years of faithful leadership, our Founder and CEO, Addie, decided to step down and usher in the next season of leadership. Our international programs transitioned out of Red Oak Hope and into locally led work that continues to care for survivors of exploitation with creativity and compassion. Each of these team members is a dear friend and a brilliant mind in the space of seeking justice for the vulnerable, and it has personally been a privilege to work alongside them for the last nine years.

In 2025, we are focusing our efforts in Central Texas, as we provide deeply relational, holistic care to survivors of sexual exploitation that leads to increased resilience and breaks cycles of victimization, all through the lens of partnership and movement building. As you read the following report, we hope you are encouraged by the reality that freedom, hope, and restoration are possible for survivors of sexual exploitation, and your imagination is captured for a world where cycles of abuse and victimization are broken. Thank you for continuing your partnership with us!

With great hope,

Haley Patterson | Executive Director
