STOCK

By donating appreciated stock instead of cash, you can give more at no extra cost by avoiding capital gains tax and deducting the full market value of the stock. Start the process by emailing us at info@redoakhope.org.

DAF &
IRA

Give through your donor-advised fund (DAF) or consider a donation through your IRA. If you are 70.5 or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows you to transfer up to $108,000 (in 2025) directly from your IRA to non-profits, and the amount is excluded from your taxable income. A QCD can count toward satisfying your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if you are 73 or older.
